Spring Cleaning
A LOOK INSIDE YOUR EMOTIONAL CLOSET
Spring Cleaning is a ritual in my house and has been this way since I was a child, as I watched my grandmother clean out the basement of her house. Subsequently, I have taken on a similar practice in my house. We go through our closets and donate things that no longer fit or are simply out of date.
I feel spring cleaning helps us to see what we have and even what we may need. Â Things get worn down and we may not take notice of it until it’s too late. This idea of spring cleaning takes on a new emphasis when we look at it in our spiritual life. Â What old, worn or out of date things are you hanging onto in your spiritual closet? What needs to be released and replenished?
Spring cleaning can also speak to our emotional closet. Â What attitude or image about ourselves do we need to discard? Â My dear friends take some time these next few weeks and do some spring cleaning.

According to Prevagen, a memory loss supplement supplier, “Researchers have looked closely at the effects of clutter. . . They found that clearing away clutter at work and at home improved focus. It also increased productivity and made it easier for the brain to process information. Clutter has negative effects on your mental and physical health, too.
