Church family,
In the blur of headlines, schedules, and constant notifications, our souls long for holy quiet. Peace isn’t the absence of trouble—it’s the presence of Jesus in the midst of it. He meets us, not with quick fixes, but with a deep, steady calm that guards our hearts.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
— John 14:27
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:6–7
Peace is not earned; it’s received. We bring our anxieties into the light of God’s presence, and God guards us. Today, choose to turn down the volume of the world and turn your heart toward God. God is near.
A Short Meditation for Today.
- Sit quietly and breathe slowly for one minute. With each exhale,
release what you’re carrying. - Read John 14:27 aloud. Pause after the phrase, “my peace I give to you.” Receive it.
- Pray: “Lord Jesus, I give you my worries. Fill me with Your peace.”
- Picture placing your concerns in His hands. Stay there for a few breaths.
- Close with gratitude. Name one gift from today and thank Him.
Grace and peace,
— Pastor Rhoden
