Deacons are elected by the congregation and are ordained officers commissioned for specific services. The Ministry of Deacon, as set forth in Scriptures, is one of compassion, witness, and service, sharing the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, and those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress. The Board of Deacons provides care and services to the congregation and the community.  The Board is under the supervision and authority of the Session.  The activities and services performed are reported to the Session through the Ministry of Congregational Care and Fellowship.

Lunch Ministries

Free sack lunches are made available every Tuesday and a hot lunch meal is provided every third Tuesday of each month.

Every fourth Saturday – 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Servant evangelism is sharing God’s love by simply serving others in practical ways without asking for or expecting anything in return.  Servant evangelism reaches people where they are and exposes non-Christians to Christians showing God’s love in unmistakable and non-threatening ways.

To complete the process of evangelism—to bring someone to accepting Christ as Savior—we need to speak “the word about Christ.” Servant evangelism can be effective in opening that person’s heart to receive the message once he or she hears it.
