Bible Study at WPCofLA

The undertaking of our Bible Study Classes is, “To provide for the growth of the members, equipping them for ministry through personal and pastoral care, through educational programs, and to help them learn God’s ways and His will for our lives”. A standing goal of Bible Study is to encourage full, intentional participation of the people in worship.

Bible Study Schedules

JOIN US ON…
Wednesdays – 1:00 PM: “Come and See”
– Be a part of Come and See Bible Study @ 1:00 PM every Wednesday – Led by Pastor, Rev. Carlton Rhoden. This class uses a non-traditional approach that integrates video, field trips as well as printed materials to study concepts and the Scriptures.

Sundays – 9:00 AM: New Bible Study Series 2026 – To Be Announced
– Join us on Sundays before Sunday Worship Begins – This is a special Advent Study that you can attend online or in person. LEARN MORE
CURRENTLY NOT IN SEASON:
Tuesdays – 10:00 AM: “Church Women United”
– Join the Church Women United Bible Study every Tuesday – Led by Elder Elizabeth Hicks. Church Women United (CWU) is a national ecumenical Christian women’s movement representing Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox and other Christian women. The current study for this class explores qualities of The Holy Spirit.
CURRENTLY NOT IN SEASON:
Thursdays – 10:00 AM: “High Achievers”
– Join the High Achievers Bible Study @ 10:00 AM every Thursday – Led by Elder Angelia Grey. Discussion and participation are key elements in the study of individual books of the Bible. The class is currently working through the Minor Prophets, starting with Hosea.
