The special Father’s Day Service on Sunday, June 19th was amazing and well received. It was a great way to honor the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, and sons with not just the sermon, but the spoken words and music tribute to Marvin Gaye. The service featured the last 7 words: “Forgive, Paradise, Behold, Forsaken, Thirst, Finish, and Holler”, and various scriptures and stories from our honored speakers to match.

The music was provided by Forecast Band who featured What’s Going On, God is love, Mercy, Mercy Me and Makes Me Wanna Holler” by the late great Marvin Gaye. It was wonderful to see how the music from the past is still inspiring and empowering today and will be in the future.

All the fathers in attendance were presented with a gift from the Deacons of WPC during the service. After a blessed and inspiring service, the Men’s Council of Westminster Presbyterian, Church provided a deliciously prepared Father’s Day Juneteenth Brunch for all to share in celebration of Fathers.
