Shhh, Virtual Worship is Starting
Opening Prayer:
Faithful God,
we come into Your presence with thanksgiving,
deeply grateful for the unfailing love and faithfulness
You have shown toward us, Your people.
When we call out to You, You answer.
When we are exhausted, You give us the strength to go on.
When we find ourselves in trouble,
You are there, standing beside us.
And so we come before You gratitude and praise,
offering You the worship of our hearts and lives.
Open our eyes to see and know You here among us;
open our ears to recognize Your voice.
And then send us out from here,
to live and work in the world as Your faithful disciples.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Lord.
Amen.
Opening Praise:
“The Solid Rock (My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less)” – David Wesley’s Virtual Choir feat. WPCofLA Choir Members

Prayers of the People:
In these days of knowing, not knowing,
We, like the buds on the trees,
Are eager to burst forth into the world.
Hold us gently in place
Until we are certain in the ways of loving our neighbor.
We seek blessing upon those
who have answered a call to care for us
in our times of physical healing,
no matter our opinion, our ideology, our hardship, Lord.
These, we hold in our care as neighbors.
Help us to hear that caring for one another
is your command on our lives.
Open our ears to hear the tragedy in this time of coronavirus,
and not only our own anxiety and grief
that may come on blustering words and tired rhetoric.
Instead, let us think on how we will make the world a better place.
Instead, let us think on what kindness, however small,
we might offer someone.
Instead, let us remember that our life is not our own,
but belongs to you.
Instead, let us dream how we might enter our communities
to be a beacon of hope for those living in disorder
to come alongside them while they find order;
alongside them while they reorder their lives.
Help us always, Lord, to remember our promise to you
that we will care for our neighbor as ourselves.
Amen!

Offering Song:
“Sing Out!” – Ron Kenoly
Offertory Prayer:
We bring our gifts with gratitude for the opportunity to give. We thank you, O Lord, for the bounty that is ours and for the freedom we have to worship as we choose. We are grateful for the endless choices that are ours to ponder and partake. We bring our gifts with hearts full of thanksgiving for all that is ours. We ask only that you would help us to remember.
Amen.

SONG OF INVITATION
“I Trust In God” – H Spencer Penny & Matt Daley
CLOSING SONG
“You Still Do” – Terrian
Closing Prayer:
Jesus stands and asks:
“Who do you say I am?”
We join millions who have gone before
and say: “the Messiah”
Jesus stands in front of us
and tells us the realities of discipleship
We join millions who have gone before
in the challenges of living as disciples.
Jesus stands before us
and offers food and drink for the journey.
Fed and nourished,
we go out into the world to live and serve.
Jesus stands before us, shining in glory,
and will be with us to the end of the age.
Thanks be to God.
Amen.
We hope you enjoyed Virtual Sunday Worship.
