Shhh, Virtual Worship is Starting
Opening Prayer:
O come to us, abide with us, our Lord, Emmanuel! God with us, You came to us long ago as a helpless babe, as one in need of human love and care. You taught us how to love and care for one another. Help us to hold on to childlike wonder, amazement, and love, and help us to love one another all year long. Guide our feet into the way of peace, as only the Prince of Peace can lead us, by laying down our lives for one another and serving one another. In the name of Christ, Emmanuel, God with Us, we pray.
Amen.
Opening Hymn:
“Light of the World” – Lauren Daigle
“Angels We Have Heard On High” – Andrea Bocelli

Prayers of the People:
From all walks of life, we have come to Bethlehem, O God. Some of us have traveled rocky roads and some of us have come by way of peaceful paths. Some of us who gather here have come through treacherous times while others of us have taken a journey of joy. Some of us have come here reluctant to celebrate while others of us arrive with hearts overflowing with elation. However we have come to this manger, O God, here we are! We have followed the star to follow the child, born to be king. Be with us now as we visit the stable, and let us go forth from the cradle as a people renewed, carrying with us the light of your love, the love of the Prince of Peace, Jesus the Christ.
Amen!
Offering Song:
“Christmas Time” – The Mississippi Children’s Choir
“He Shall Reign Forever More” – Chris Tomlin

Offering Prayer:
You call us to prepare, gracious Savior — to prepare to entertain angels, to be alert to wait and watch, to be awake for the coming of glory, to receive your presence in our lives. Send your Spirit upon us, we pray, that we might be made ready to open our hearts and lives with gladness. Fill us with the joy of anticipation and make our waiting a sweet time of communion with you.
Amen.
