Opening Prayer:
We thank you, heavenly Parent, for calling us your children. It gives us such comfort to know that this is exactly what we are. Continue to work in us, Lord, to purify us and to draw us closer to you. Strengthen our faith, our hope and our love, so that when Jesus is revealed we will be like him, and we will see him as he is. In his holy name we pray. Amen.

Prayers of the People:
Oh, great God, we come with eyes eager to see you, ears straining to hear you and hearts longing to meet with you.
We come with minds open to learn of you and with hands and feet ready to respond to your leading.
We see the needs around us as great, and we recall that you are the Great Provider and Sustainer.
We feel pain in us, and around us, and we remember that you are the Great Healer.
We feel the sting of death and loss and we cling to Jesus, who is our Way, our Truth and our Life.
By the power of your Spirit, use us to meet the needs of others, even in the midst of our neediness.
By the power of your Spirit, use us to bring healing, even out of our pain.
By the power of your Spirit, use us to lead others into Truth and Life, as we follow the Way of Jesus.
Our great God, we humbly submit to Jesus, and pray that you would keep us in him until our redemption and inheritance are revealed. Amen!

Offering Prayer:
Gracious God, you have given us so very much. We have been blessed abundantly and so we give back to you. It is with hearts of joy that we bring these gifts. We offer them up to you that your kingdom may be made great through their use. Help us always to give generously from what little or much we may have. For we know that you are filled with joy when we give fully from our hearts. Thank you for blessing us so richly. We are so grateful.
Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER
Go out and imitate God, living in love.
Put your hope in God’s Word
and let your own words be truthful and constructive.
May sin rouse your anger,
. . . but never let anger cause you to sin
Don’t allow any room for evil.
And may God always hear your voice
May Christ Jesus raise you to new life;
and may the Holy Spirit nourish you for the life of love.
We go in peace to love and serve the Lord,
. . . In the name of Christ
Amen.
