” . . . Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. . . the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine . . .” – John 2: 1-11
Do you need a change in your life? Have you considered inviting Jesus into your life? Don’t sit there by yourself; take your problems to Jesus.
When we take our problems to Jesus, the most critical thing we have to understand and do is to listen. When the Lord delivers you the message that is necessary for you to change your life from ordinary into extraordinary, don’t make the mistake of not listening, because you don’t like what you’ll have to do in order to carry out his message. Or maybe you’re still looking for proof.
Even if you don’t see it or understand it, receive the message and don’t get discouraged when you don’t see a change immediately. Your miracle is coming. In our current world of next day delivery and instant gratification, patience is something we seem to have eliminated from our vocabulary. We get discouraged and frustrated when change doesn’t happen immediately but we have to realize that when we experience the struggle, we appreciate our miracle when it happens more than ever.
As such, it blows my mind how people do not understand the impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is as if we are ignoring the beatings, the jail time, the dogs, the water cannons. It was real pain and trauma to arrive at this place where we can assemble and work together for a bigger and broader dream. We can not and must not forget the struggle that we’ve helped lift for the generations behind us. It is only in sharing the stories of Jesus Christ about how he can change water to wine, that we can begin to understand how big and bright our future really is.
I hope the sermon uplifts you and brings you encouragement.
