” Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him — his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling.” – Psalm 68: 4-5
Did you know that our relationships with our father’s often reveal our weaknesses. This sermon is to celebrate all the honorable father’s in our mist while also helping some of us find forgiveness in our broken father’s who did the best they could with the foundation they had.
We also give blessing to our women in our lives who may have had to step into the father role and serve double duty. Let this sermon allow us to forgive ourselves for any anger we may have had and allow us to be the kind of Christian that shows compassion, love, and care.
Dear Lord, thank you for filling in those gaps reminding us that you are the ultimate father in all of our lives.
I hope this sermon uplifts you and brings you encouragement in your daily life. – Rev. Carlton Rhoden
