Our Ministries

The Ministries organizational structure provides for us a way to be most effective in the carrying out the command to love and serve one another, and answering the commission to tell the world about Jesus and what belief in Him can offer.  Each Ministry has specific responsibilities and each is a part of the whole work of the church.

Ministry of Evangelism and Mission

The Ministry of Evangelism and Mission task is to provide ways and opportunities to for the church to reach into the community with the Gospel Message: “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose on the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15: 3-4)

The Ministry of Evangelism and Mission, empowered by the Holy Spirit, has the immediate responsibility to witness about Jesus Christ, to the church, the neighborhood, and subsequently around the world. This ministry calls the people to serve in a variety of ways that will lead to knowledge, to belief, to salvation, then to relationship with Jesus Christ. This ministry works closely with all other ministries.

“Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world”.   Matthew 28:19-20 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

Ministry of Spiritual Growth

Ministry of Spiritual Growth provides for the spiritual development and growth of the members, equipping them for a ministry of mission, service and discipleship. This ministry works to provide ways for the members to increase knowledge that will lead to spiritual wholeness and maturity. Being adequately equipped to apply the Word of God within the everyday living will allow for effective service to others.

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Tim. 3:15-17(NASB)

The Ministry of Youth and Young Adults is an integral part of the Ministry of Spiritual Growth and virtually stands on its own.

The aim of the Ministry of Youth and Young Adults is to do the following for our young people:

  • Teach that the Word of God is empowering.
  • Encourage, develop, and strengthen their relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
  • Give practical skills based upon Christian principles that will enrich their daily lives.
  • Nurture them in the ways of Christian behavior as directed in the Holy Scriptures.

Place these words I’m speaking on your heart and in your very being. Tie them on your hand as a sign. They should be on your forehead as a symbol.

Teach them to your children, by talking about them when you are sitting around your house and when you are out and about, when you are lying down and when you are getting up. Write them on your house’s door frames and on your city’s gates.

Ministry Of Stewardship Finance & Property Management

The Ministry Of Stewardship Finance & Property Management has the task of overseeing the care and maintenance of all church property, as well as challenging the people of God with the privilege of responding to God through the responsible planning and management of all resources. This ministry encourages the members to be Responsible Stewards of their money, time, and talents and with the maintenance of the places entrusted to our care. The Ministry Of Stewardship Finance & Property Management urges the members to develop effective ways for the use of their gifts and offerings as a response to the goodness of God. The responsibility of this ministry is to help strengthen the members in their commitment to serve God through the careful and responsible management of God’s resources.

He gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers. His purpose was to equip God’s people for the work of serving and building up the body of Christ until we all reach the unity of faith and knowledge of God’s Son. God’s goal is for us to become mature adults—to be fully grown, measured by the standard of the fullness of Christ.

Ministry of Worship and Music

The Ministry of Worship and Music provides oversight of all services of worship that encompass elements of worship in the corporate setting. This ministry makes sure that fundamentals of worship are in place and that they enhance the experience of praise and worship. The Ministry Of Worship And Music encourages individuals to develop a personal relationship with God. Since Worship is a crucial element in the…life of believers, the Pastor together with the Session takes primary leadership in this ministry and makes sure that within corporate worship believing members of this faith community have opportunity to participate in the Holy Sacraments (Baptism and Communion) and that these Sacraments are observed on a regular basis.

Jesus answered, “It’s written, you will worship the Lord your God and serve only him.” But the time is coming—and is here!—when true worshippers will worship in spirit and truth. The Father looks for those who worship him this way. God is spirit, and it is necessary to worship God in spirit and truth
